Sensei Frank Jennings, 3rd Dan

Frank Jennings is founder and chief instructor at Senshi Karate. He has been training since 1996, achieved 1st & 2nd Dan black belts while a student of Sensei Robin Dale and gained his instructor’s qualification under the guidance of Sensei Valerie Dale, both 5th Dans at Ichiban Karate. Frank graded to 3rd Dan in 2018 under Senseis Andy Sherry 9th Dan, Bob Poynton and Frank Brennan, both 8th Dans. Frank (Jennings) still trains regularly and also attends the KUGB courses. In his time Frank has entered some competitions (and has even won some medals).


Sensei Alex Illsley, 1st Dan

Alex Illsley began training at Barnsley SKC in 1992 and graded to 1st Dan black belt in 2006 under Senseis Andy Sherry and Frank Brennan. She also trained for some time at Tora (then based in Chingford), before joining Senshi Karate in 2017.


Senpai Arianna Jennings, 1st Dan

Arianna Jennings began training when she was 6 and passed her black belt in 2018 under Senseis Andy Sherry and Frank Brennan, the first person to do so through Senshi Karate. Arianna often assists with teaching.

Senpai Alaina Jennings, 1st Dan

Alaina Jennings began training just before she turned 6 and passed her black belt under Senseis Andy Sherry and Frank Brennan in 2019, the second person to do so through Senshi Karate. Alaina often assists with teaching.
