Sensei Alex took our regular Saturday classes as Sensei Frank and Arianna were attending the Shotokan Connect All Grades Training Course + Dan Grading at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre. Senseis Ian Willis 7th Dan, Sam Birch 6th Dan and guest instructor Keith Burns 6th Dan were teaching, first the all-grades class and then the brown & black belts class. This was followed by the Dan gradings in which two Senshi Karate students participated. The grading panel was composed of Senseis Ivan Birch 7th Dan (outgoing chair of Shotokan Connect), Ian Willis 7th Dan and John Parnell 6th Dan. They were also ably assisted by Senseis Val Dale, Ian Harman and Georges Dussart, all 6th Dans. So, the panel was composed of 38 Dans!
