We attended the Shotokan Tigers kids competition hosted by our friends Chelmsford Karate Club at their dojo in South Woodham Ferrers. Alaina, Jimmy and Charlie entered individual kata but sadly weren’t successful. Esha, Jimmy and Eliana entered team kata and came fourth! This is a great result for their first competition.

It was a great day – a long day – but it was good to see the high standards of karate! An inspiration to the youngsters and a great chance to meet old friends and make new friends within the KUGB family. There were also excellent demos by Jack Somers and Mia Hillsden, two names well-known in the KUGB as they regularly win medals.
