Five Senshi Karate students attended the annual spring course in Devon. Again, 16.5 hours of training plus bo classes, karate lecture, kata competition and grading. Whether learning a brand new kata or refining your techniques, the spring course is a great opportunity to train with a minimum of 8th Dan qualified instructor. Senseis Terry O’Neill, Bob Poynton, Bob Rhodes, Billy Higgins and Frank Brennan, all 8th Dans, together with Sensei Andy Sherry 9th Dan and KUGB chief instructor. As ever, the course was well-attended with novices right through to 7th Dans training each day.
During the course, Alex passed her instructor qualification with flying colours.

Also, Jimmy came second in the kata competition.

Jimmy also graded at the end of the week, so we now have the following new grade in the club:
-Jimmy, 3rd kyu (brown belt)
