Due to coronavirus, we stopped meeting in our Greenwich and Charlton venues for 4 months between March and July.
Like other clubs, we switched to online learning. Students went from having loads of space to nowhere near enough space, learning in their living rooms and bedrooms. Also, it was largely impossible to do kumite. This gave us the opportunity to focus on technique, core strength, speed, timing and a broader range of kata, particularly for the juniors. We also celebrated our 4th birthday during lockdown! As restrictions were lifted, we ran small classes in the park.
Well done to many of our students who rose to the challenge!
