Training with Sensei Robert Dejean, 13 October 2018

Sensei Robert Dejean 5th Dan didn’t have time to cover everything he wanted when he visited us the first time so he asked if he could come back for part 2. Obviously, we said yes!

He wasn’t feeling well this time round, but he promised he’d come, so he came. However, he turned up late and immediately gave himself 10 knuckle push ups as punishment! While we adhere to Japanese etiquette at Senshi Karate, we don’t issue punishments, but Sensei Robert wanted to demonstrate the importance of martial attitude.

He focused on kicking combinations, including mai geri, mawashi geri and ushiro geri. He then finished with a run through of kihon kata and Heian Shodan. He promised he would return again!
